Research Presented at USCAP 2015

In Boston at the 2015 Annual Meeting of the United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology, several presentations included co-authors from Inform Diagnostics Life Sciences’ urologic pathology team.

A poster titled “Predictive Value of ERG Oncoprotein Expression and Pathologic Parameters In the Stratification of Prostate Cancer Risk Associated With High Grade Prostatic Intraepithelial Neoplasia (HGPIN) Diagnosis In Prostate Needle Biopsy.” Authors include Savvas Mendrinos, MD, Associate Director of Urologic Pathology, Union, and Rajal Shah, MD, Vice President, Medical Director, Urologic Pathology.

A poster titled “PTEN Protein Loss and Genomic Deletions in Prostate Cancer: A Comparative Study of Immunohistochemistry and Four-Color FISH Assay.” Authors include Drs. Shah and Mendrinos.

A platform presentation by the Gleason Grading Collaborative Group, whose members include Dr. Shah and Wei Tian, MD. The presentation is titled “Interobserver Reproducibility in the Diagnosis of Gleason Pattern 5 Prostate Adenocarcinoma Among Urologic Pathologists.”

A poster from researchers at Johns Hopkins titled “Invasive Low-Grade Papillary Urothelial Carcinoma: An Immunohistochemical Study of 26 Cases.” Its authors include Dr. Tian due to research performed during her work there.
