The Inform Diagnostics Difference
As the most reliable, high-quality anatomic pathology laboratory, Inform
Diagnostics practices pathology differently. We’ve systematically
set ourselves apart from other labs through our Trusted Process. And the
results are evident: learn more about
our proven quality.
The combination of Inform Diagnostics expert pathologists and our quality
process translates to the ultimate care for specimens, clients, and patients.
Inform Diagnostics' quality pathology is based on six factors which
impact a pathologist's interpretation:
1. Pathologists Expertise
Inform Diagnostics processes more than one million specimens each year.
As a result, our subspecialized pathologists maintain in-depth learning
and expertise of a subject and have a better calibration of atypia and
dysplasia. Every patient benefits from an expert.
2. Pathologist Tenure
Inform Diagnostics has more than 55 pathologists on staff, and their average
tenure is 10 years. Tenured experience with Inform Diagnostics is leveraged
in maintaining a Trusted Process, despite market and corporate change.
3. Consensus Approach
Inform Diagnostics require that all critical diagnoses be reviewed by
a second subspecialized pathologist. Furthermore, all unique and complex
cases are reviewed during the daily consensus conference, which maximizes
the collective expertise of our pathology teams. Intradepartmental consultation
has been identified as a principal tool to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
4. Standard Diagnostic Criteria
Our pathologists use unique codes for diagnoses, thus creating a huge
database of well-codified results. This database can be used to provide
benchmark and quality metrics to you, automate integration of diagnostic
information with EHRs, and help with discovery of new biomarkers. These
codes are developed using standard diagnostic criteria and are continuously
updated with the most current pathological and clinical guidelines.
5. Clinicopathologic Correlation
Inform Diagnostics maintains extensive industry alliances and advanced
workflow solutions, which aid in efficient transmission to our lab of
clients' clinical notes and procedure images. This ancillary information
provides our pathologists the opportunity to correlate clinical and pathological
findings and deliver a more precise diagnosis.
6. Confirmatory Ancillary Testing
Inform Diagnostics operates four anatomic pathology laboratories, and
a hematopathology specialized laboratory, for the most efficient, highest-quality
testing available. Our extensive test menu includes confirmatory stains
and molecular assays to support our histopathological interpretation and
provide you with a more confident final diagnosis.
Inform Diagnostics focuses on continuous improvement to identify and implement
ways that modernize our service. Optimal patient care is the outcome.

benefits we anticipate from digital pathology.
Structured Data & Diagnosis It's clear: data is a critical asset, and we approach it differently
to provide specific benefits to centers and practices. Inform Diagnostics
delivers meaningful data—specific to your patients—back to
you for clearer diagnostic intervention. You’ll see it in our consistent
report verbiage, the cancer reporting capabilities we enable for you,
and quarterly diagnostic summary reports (currently for Derm and GI clients)
that provide significant clinical insights.
Throughout our history, Inform Diagnostics has faced reimbursement pressures.
However, we identify internal efficiencies which allow us to adapt to
industry change, while providing the same high level of service and turnaround
time. We are committed to compliance and continuous improvement, through
investments in processes and efficiencies that benefit our clients.
And throughout industry turmoil, our organization has sustained: most of
our pathologists, sales professionals, and laboratory staff have remained
the same. Our laboratories and pathology service have remained consistent
to provide dependable patient results to our clients.
The result is clear—a Trusted Process that sets Inform Diagnostics
apart as a leader in anatomic pathology.
