A Case of Granulomatous Dermatitis Occurring After Implantation of a Titanium-Containing Pacemaker
Granulomatous contact dermatitis to metals, including titanium-containing pacemakers, is rare but has been documented in the literature. The pathogenesis is likely to be a delayed hypersensitivity
reaction to the metal. We present this case to illustrate the clinical and histopathological features of this unusual entity with a discussion of the histologic differential diagnosis and review of the literature.
