Demographic and Socio-economic Influences on H. pylori-induced Changes to the Gastric Mucosa

Over a lifetime, gastric infection with Helicobacter pylori (Hp) can lead to chronic active gastritis (CAG), chronic inactive gastritis (CIG), intestinal metaplasia (IM) and atrophy (ATR). Little is known whether such changes occur similarly among different ethnic groups and how they are affected by socio-economic factors.
